I've spent a lot of time recently contemplating how to display the photos that I take to people. I could have spent a whole lot of money getting a wizz kid to formulate some sort of epic website but then to me, it becomes more business like and quite frankly I'm in it more for the love than the money. My house mate Phil suggested I start a blog..... strangely enough, something I hadn't even thought about.
So here we are........this is going to be my internet photo megaphone. Its taken me 3 hours to even remotely come close to actually getting my head around putting one together. Nothing is ever straight forward. I mean WTF is Favicon??
Im not too sure how I will blog on this blog. It may even blog me off enough to steer clear and carry on using facebook to display my pictures but I'm going in, taking the bull by the horns and getting my game face on!
So here is my first picture
Taken in Siem Reap in Cambodia earlier on this year.
I was taken to a remote village school that I literally thought Bear Grylls would have to throw me over his shoulder to negotiate me through and over the non existent road and into Cambodias 'outback' just so that I would be able to have this awesome experience of backpacking far off the beaten track.
These children rarely have the experience of ever sighting a westerner, let alone one that must have looked like a monolith towering above them with a big camera. The little girl in the middle had me mesmerised. She was beautiful and so innocent to life. These children have nothing.
Its photos like these that truly distinguish the rich from the poor and the materialistic from the spiritual.
There we are, my blog has officially begun.
